NIGERIA: Constructive Criticism is for Common Good, Archbishop says

ABUJA, NOVEMBER, 21, 2014(CISA) – “Constructive criticism is a necessary aspect of life in the modern day world to enhance good governance, equity and justice in the society for the common good of all,” Archbishop Kaigama has said.

Archbishop Kaigama, The President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria made this remark in his homily at the Rosary Prayer Pilgrimage, held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, by Catholic faithful from all parts of the country.

Archbishop Kaigama also used the occasion to warn on the danger signals in respect of the 2015 General elections.

“Apart from sectarian clashes here and there, there are already signals and indications that the impending 2015 elections will create a political situation that will be explosive.

The all-night prayer vigil session was to pray for God’s intervention on the challenges facing Nigerian nation.

The vigil was attended by the Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Augustine Kasujja, about 25 members of the Bishops’ Conference, priests, religious and lay faithful from all the Ecclesiastical provinces in the country, CNA reported.
